Each month during the informal meeting (the first Monday of each month) the Council is given a presentation by The Youth Department, Hudson Police Department, and The Department of Works. You can find all documents, agendas, and links to meetings at www.hudsonny.gov.

Highlights from the Regular/Formal Meeting Jan. 16th 2024

  • The passage of a resolution to buy much needed Parking Management Software
  • The passage of a resolution to appoint Randall Martin to the IDA
  • The passage of a resolution concerning the alarm System fee Scedule
  • The passage of a resolution authorizing (MOA) a 3 year contract (negotiated by their union) with the Hudson Police Department
  • The passage of a local law authorizing Community Choice Aggregation (Energy) – the mayor also held a public meeting about this
  • The proposed law concerning Filming in Hudson was tabled
  • Council member Margaret Morris brought the addition of committees and general protocols. The council president Tom DiPeatro agreed to the addition of a Finance Committee but disagreed with any changes to procedure/protocols.

  • Passage of Resolution was passed naming Commisioners of Deeds
  • Passage of Resolution was passed approving an application by “Friends of the Public Square for EPA grant for 7th Street Park
  • Passage of Resolution Opposing Columbia County’s purchase of 11 Warren Street (multiple letters of support and disagreement -based on the MHA clubhouse which is a complex issue)
  • Passage of Resolution approving a License Agreement with the Hudson Sloop Club
  • Passage of RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF COUNSEL TO RESPOND TO VALLEY ALLIANCE ET AL V. CITY OF HUDSON PLANNING BOARD
  • Passage of a RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A CEASEFIRE IN GAZA (multiple letters in support and a few in opposition – a lot of impassioned speeches from members of the public)
  • Passage of BOND RESOLUTION DATED FEBRUARY 20, 2024 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CSO MITIGATION IMPROVEMENTS
  • Hudson DOTS Presentation – special meeting to discuss resolution
  • Passage of LOCAL LAW NO. #-2023 A LOCAL LAW TO ESTABLISH A COMMUNITY CHOICE AGGREGATION (ENERGY) PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF HUDSON
  • Passage of Film Law
  • Passage of A local law amending Chapter 275, Article III, Section 275-17 of the City of Hudson, New York to Create an Updated Real Property Tax Exemption for Real Property Owned by Volunteer Firefighters and Ambulance Workers Pursuant to the New York Real Property Tax Law Section 466-A.
  • Passage of A local law amending Chapter 275, Article II of the City of Hudson, New York to Create an Updated Real Property Tax Exemption for Real Property Owned by Senior Citizens with Limited Incomes Pursuant to the New York Real Property Tax Law Section 467.
  • Passage of A local law amending Chapter 275, Article IV of the City of Hudson, New York to Create an Updated Real Property Tax Exemption for Real Property Owned by Persons with Disabilities and Limited Incomes Pursuant to the New York Real Property Tax Law Section 459-c.
