General:
I have been a Common Council Member for nearly 2 years. In that time I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know my neighbors in the 4th Ward and listening to their concerns. I have voted consistently in support of smart, stable, and affordable housing solutions – Hudson DOTS, A Local Law Amending Chapter 174 of the Code of the City of Hudson to Prohibit Evictions Without Cause, Resolution in Support of the Rent Emergency Stabilization for Tenants (REST) Act.
As a member of the Legal Committee I helped to craft legislation around:
*Filming in the City of Hudson
*Law Opposing Formula Retail
*Child Day Care Facilities (zoning amendment making it easier to have one)
*Accessory Dwelling Units (code amendment making it easier to build)
*Currently working on Bike, E-Bike, Scooter, and E-Scooter safety and education
As a member of the Parking Committee:
*Helped in the creation of a dedicated Parking Bureau within the HPD
*Helped to formulate a Proposed Parking Plan to be implemented by the Parking Bureau
8. WHAT DO THEY HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH, IF ELECTED?
I would like to work with my colleagues on the Common Council toward Charter Reform, making sure that decision making is inclusive and community led. I would also like to see this reform take into consideration some of the antiquated government structures while making sure that the structural decisions are fiscally sound.
I would like to continue my work on the Legal Committee. I would like to see code changes and legislation that help create funds earmarked for specific purposes, that are creative solutions to affordable housing, that support our local businesses, that keep our community safe and healthy, and that protect our environment.
I will continue to work hard for my neighbors in the 4th Ward and the city as a whole! For more about me and my vision please visit: fourthwardhudson.com
