In 2016, I wanted to support my favorite candidate for president, Bernie Sanders, so I decided to bake cookies of Bernie and sell them at local coffee shops for $2/each – donating all the funds to the Bernie Sanders campaign.
The images on Facebook went viral and in less than two months, I baked enough cookies to donate $2,700 to the Bernie Sanders’ campaign – the maximum personal contribution!
